VARUNA CELEBRATES 73 RD INDEPENDENCE DAY
THE THEME
OF THE CELEBRATION WAS “GO GREEN”
The 73 rd Independence
Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Sunbeam School Varuna
. The ceremony commenced sharp at 7 AM at Ninaad- the Multi- purpose Hall of the
school where the students, teachers and staff had gathered to witness the
hoisting of the tricolor.
This
Independence Day the for the theme for the celebration theme was GO GREEN based
on which all the colourful programmes were created. Students of Varuna College
planted trees and a showed wonderful Power Point Presentation on the
significance of planting trees and having a green and a lush environment.
Dr. Deepak
Madhok ,Chairman, Sunbeam Group of Educational Institutions, Director Ms.Bharti
Madhok and Deputy Director Ms. Amrita Burman graced the occasion.
Dr. Deepak
Madhok, Chairman of the group unfurled the Indian Tricolour in presence of the
Director, Mrs. Bharti Madhok and Deputy Director, Ms. Amrita Burman and sang the National Anthem expressing the joy
of freedom.
The Head boy of the school Mr. Mayank Tandon shared
his views on the significance of the day. The students of Varuna College sang a
patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Mother Land. The
support staff of the school presented a melodious song that instilled the
feeling of patriotism in the audience. With great fervor of patriotism an
inspiring dance was performed by the students.The Junior Head Boy and the
Junior Head Girl read the Fundamental Rights to the students and made the
audience aware about their rights and duties for the country.
Dr. Deepak
Madhok, Chairman of the Group addressed the children and the teachers as well.
He believed that teachers were actually the nation builders as they prepared
the future leaders of the country.
Mrs. Bharti
Madhok, Director spoke about how
children could actively participate in creating awareness on the importance of
going green to people of the country.
Ms. Amrit
Burman,Deputy Director on this occasion addressed the children and said they
were the future of the country and the New India depended on them and their
actions.
The
Programme concluded with the Vote of thanks by Head Boy Mayank Tandon. At the
end sweets were distributed to the students.
