Sunbeam Group’s philanthropic venture, Sunbeam Gramin School, Karasna has 800 students studying absolutely free of cost in this very campus. The school was established in the year 2002-03 with just 20 students.

Dr. Deepak Madhok and Mrs. Bharti Madhok envisioned Sunbeam Gramin School, as an institution dedicated to uplift the underprivileged section of the society, deprived of the basic right to education. The school has been able to make an impact in the surrounding areas and has encouraged parents to send girls to school.

The school runs classes from Nursery till class VIII and has been imparting quality education to the underprivileged children of nearby villages for two decades. Extracurricular activities such as art and craft, personality development sessions are organised regularly for the students. The school also provides facility of sports equipment along with school dress and books at no cost. The students have an access to library which consists of 2000+ books and a well equipped computer lab. On regular intervals, Skill based Workshops are organized for the students in order to make them self reliant.

A newspaper corner has been established to keep them updated to the current happenings around the world. for reference books the students can also refer the library as and when needed.

The students are provided with adequate resources and study material which includes books, uniform and stationery. Also, at regular intervals story books and other reading materials are provided as encouragement for their good performance in curriculars and extra curriculars.

Students who have passed out of Sunbeam Gramin School have made it to reputed colleges and universities, such as Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Lucknow University etc. and are now placed at respectable positions
